Wednesday Afternoon, 2/13/08

Elvis has left the building.

Ok, so his name is actually Nathan, and the building is a hospital in Baltimore, MD. We left UMMC around 2pm with a trail of well-wishers and smiling nurses and doctors. He was excited to ride in the car and watch all of the traffic and scenery on his way home. The first hour at home he was running all over the house, reacquainting himself with all of the gadgets and crannies, particularly the ones that 3-year olds like to mess with (and parents want them to avoid). He's finally calmed down, watching Ice Age on the plasma ("ooh, daddy... big TV!") and hanging out on the couch.

Home Sweet Home.

FANTASTIC UPDATE :)

I can't tell you how happy I am for all of you, and now Nathan can be with his family and heal much quicker. Thank you so much for the updates; they are very much appreciated.

Now you can all fall asleep on the couch watching TV !!

And a big thanks for Big Sister Alyssa being so patient through all of this. You are a princess, and loved so much.

And last, but not least, kudos to Christa and Jason for their continued support for Nathan's well being. He couldn't have done it without you. I am proud to be the mother of such wonderful parents.

Sweet dreams ...

Love,

Grandma Sherry

Dear Jason and Christa,

I cry everytime I read these last two blogs! I'm soooo proud of both of you for weathering "the storm from hell" called a sick child. Nathan will blossom and flourish with the loving care of two wonderful parents like you.

Love,
Aunt Barb
